Lin Manuel Miranda's
21 Chump Street: The Musical
Presented at BOP Studio in
The Capital Mall
Lin-Manuel Miranda's 21 Chump Street is a 14-minute musical based on a true story as reported in the series This American Life. 21 Chump Street is a cautionary tale of Justin, a high school honors student who falls for a cute transfer girl. Justin goes to great lengths to oblige Naomi's request for marijuana in the hopes of winning her affection - only to find out that his crush is actually an undercover cop planted in the school to find drug dealers. 21 Chump Street discusses the ramifications of peer pressure, conformity and drug use in our schools with a message that will stay with teenagers long after they leave the theater.
Performance is 15 minutes followed by a 20 minute talk back with the actors
May 8th - 17th
An Afternoon of Guided Meditation with Interim Pastor Chastity Joy
An original one-woman-show by Olympia's own Sara Geiger
Presented at BOP Studio in
The Capital Mall
Broadway Olympia welcomes Olympia’s own Sara Geiger to the studio for our first non-musical, as well as our first original work! An Afternoon of Guided Meditation with Interim Pastor Chastity Joy is a 1-woman show, originally developed and workshopped by Sara at Seattle’s Intiman Theater.
Three weeks after her father’s funeral and the sudden revelation of a clandestine family history, Sara steps into the spotlight of South Bay Pub’s “Tuesday open mic”. She tries her best to make sense of it all, but only a serendipitous meeting with the brassy & bodacious Pastor Chastity Joy will teach Sara that resurrection is real, and Faith can take many forms, especially in your darkest hour. Get ready for drag queens, B+ comedy, and unapologetic honesty—sit your ass in that pew; it’s time for church!
An Afternoon of Guided Meditation with Interim Pastor Chastity Joy will run Friday through Sunday, May 8th - 17th.

Each 1-act will be self contained, and will share a slice of life from the near future, when aging and natural death are no longer a reality for most people. What would happen? Find out at Ageless!

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Presented at BOP Studio in
The Capital Mall
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius.
Ticket Prices:
Online - $21
At the door - $25
Students - $13
Standing Room Only (if seats are sold out) $15
