Jessica Furnstahl (Elle Woods): Jessica is a recent graduate of Sumner High School and Running Start Program at Pierce College in Puyallup. Most recently she was the Scarecrow/Hunk in Sumner High Schools production of The Wizard of Oz and received a 5th avenue nomination for Outstanding actress in a Supporting Role. She recently made her debut at Tacoma Musical Playhouse in their production of Footloose as Ariel Moore (Review: “witnessing the birth of a star. The show’s leading lady Jessica Furnstahl, who plays the part of Ariel Moore, is a Sumner High School senior and is in her first main stage performance. Furnstahl nevertheless is possessed of the poise and the windpipes necessary to excel in the role. She has the acting talent, the dance skills and the good looks that it takes to go supernova – to become a glittering star ” - Tacoma Weekly (Oct. 2nd, 2017).
Jessica is excited to reprise the role of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde the Musical having previously performed the same role her junior year in Sumner High School’s production and received a 5th ave nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role for her performance. Jessica began dancing at the age of three and began training as a competitive dancer at eight in tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, musical theater, and jazz, and trains in ballet and pointe. She endlessly thanks her family for their support, voice teacher Erin Guinup and Patti Cohenour, dance teachers Simone Triche and Anna Hirko of The Dance Academy of Puyallup for all of their support. She also wants to send a huge thank you to Kathryn Stahl, Lexi barnett, Kyle Murphy, Zachary Kellogg, Corynn Carignan, and all of the wonderful cast and crew for their hard work and dedication to this show.
